Offered Job : This individual will support multiple design teams with two dimensional facility and equipment layout drawings; complete required field work to create scaled equipment footprint models and drawings to facilitate team layout optimization exercises; provide technical input into layout teams on equipment location and design issues; and upon completion of layout exercise provide completed layouts, in industry standard AutoCAD/AutoDesk formats, to Architectural and Engineering firm for incorporation into formal construction drawings. Finally, when not occupied with drafting work, this individual will support other research, design and implementation activities as required.
Requirements
- Thorough working knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoDesk
- Experience with construction in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of architectural drawing symbols and conventions
- Ability to work with minimal instruction and oversight with high levels of accuracy.
- Highly motivated individual with a desire to learn new skills and techniques
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process redesign, continuous improvement, or six sigma methodologies are highly desired.
- Experience working in an aerospace repair / overhaul environment is highly desired.
