Job Description:
The CAD Designer / Drafter will work as a member of a team to prepare CAD drawings for electric transmission design. Project work assignments will include layout and design for transmission lines, drawing layout of project features, and work using topographic data and digitized profiles. Additionally, he/she will be responsible to:
Make preliminary designs according to general instructions and specifications
Comply with both client-specific and R. W. Beck CAD Standards
Communicate effectively with Lead CAD, Design Engineer and other CAD staff
Experience Required:
* A.A. degree or Certificate in Drafting and Computer Aided Design Applications
* 5+ years progressive experience working in civil/electrical disciplines
* 5+ years progressive experience with AutoCAD
* Experience in layout, drafting, design, reference files, models, and raster images
* Familiarity with MicroStation and IRAS/B preferred
* Must be a self-starter, be highly motivated, and a quick learner
